This Privacy Policy explains how Miss Humblebee’s Academy collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use our Services.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through our website, applications, platform, subscriptions, support channels, AI Features, and related Services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, websites, or applications that may be linked from or integrated with our Services. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies and practices.

We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically through your use of the Services, and information provided by schools, educators, institutions, parents, or guardians.

Child and Student Information: We may collect limited information about children or students when submitted by a parent, guardian, school, district, educator, or other authorized user in order to provide and personalize educational services. We ask users not to submit more child or student information than is reasonably necessary for the intended educational purpose.

4. AI Features and Automated Processing

We may use automated systems and generative AI technologies to help create, organize, transform, recommend, or enhance educational content and workflows.

Prompts, lesson inputs, uploaded materials, usage signals, and related content may be processed in order to provide the AI Features, maintain the Services, improve system performance, enforce policies, and support safety, security, and compliance, subject to our contractual commitments and applicable law.

Users should not include sensitive personal information, unnecessary child information, or student education records in prompts unless expressly permitted by their agreement with us and applicable law. AI-generated output should always be reviewed by a responsible adult or authorized user before use with children or students.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information:

  • with service providers and vendors that help us operate the Services
  • with schools, districts, educators, parents, or guardians, as applicable to the account structure and authorized use
  • with payment processors and transactional partners
  • with analytics, hosting, security, and infrastructure providers
  • when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process
  • to investigate, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security issues, or violations of our Terms
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction

We do not use children's personal information for behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell children's personal information.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill our contractual obligations, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the integrity and security of the Services.

Where we process student data or institutional data under a school or district agreement, retention and deletion practices may also be governed by that agreement and applicable law.

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, encryption at rest where appropriate, logging, monitoring, authentication controls, network protections, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your relationship to the account and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access certain personal information
  • correct inaccurate personal information
  • request deletion of certain personal information
  • manage subscription preferences
  • control cookie settings through browser controls
  • request assistance regarding student or child data through the appropriate parent, guardian, school, or district channel

If the account is managed by a school, district, educator, or institutional administrator, some requests may need to be directed through that institution.

10. International and Regional Privacy Disclosures

If required by applicable law, we may provide additional privacy disclosures for residents of certain states or countries.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.

Observational Assessment data

Some platform experiences may include Observational Assessment features that allow authorized adults to capture readiness notes, lesson activity, skill signals, and next-step observations. Access should be limited to authorized users based on account type and implementation settings.

Responsible AI and adult review

AI-assisted Lesson Builder outputs may include Observational Assessment-ready structures, but all AI-assisted content should be reviewed, edited, and approved by an authorized adult before use.

Observational Assessment is intended to support instruction, planning, communication, and readiness visibility. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or evaluate a child or replace professional judgment.
